At Hungerford & Terry, we strive to
provide our clients with the most efficient treatment systems to meet
their needs. Our innovative, custom-designed nitrate removal system
reduces the size of the treatment plant. H&T's system uses
50 - 75% of the regenerant per cubic foot of ion exchange resin needed
for a conventional system, providing maximum efficiency and
significantly reducing operating cost and waste.
To attain the lowest possible leakage from
the exchanger, H&T's unique process uses countercurrent regeneration.
Unlike conventional systems, our countercurrent system introduces the
brine and slow rinse water at the bottom of the exchanger. By fully
regenerating the bottom of the ion exchange bed, leakage is reduced to a
fraction of a part per million, allowing more water to bypass the treatment plant.
After blending with treated water, nitrate levels are well below the
Federal Standards. H&T's unique design sets a new standard to measure
nitrate removal systems against - OURS.
